Over 2600 developers from around Australia have gathered in Sydney for Microsoft's thirteenth annual Tech.Ed conference.
The three day event which gives developers and IT professionals a chance to expand their knowledge on Microsoft's technology and digest the company's roadmap for the future of computing.
According to Microsoft Australia the conference will feature over 150 technical sessions from Microsoft's experts including Anne Kirah, Senior Design Anthropologist, Scott Guthrie, General Manager, ASP.NET, Scott Dickens, Program Manager, Windows Deployment and Mike Fitzmaurice, Senior Product Manager, Office Servers.
One of the key areas for Tech.Ed 2006 will be certification. Attendees will be given the opportunity to sit for an exam at the event and walk away with a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) industry certification at a discounted rate nominated by Microsoft.
As well as updating skills on Microsoft's existing technology, the conference aims to get delegates up to speed on the company's future software including Microsoft Vista, 2007 Microsoft Office System and Windows "Longhorn" Server.
